The Angel and The Demon

Once again, Erica tapped me for a shoot. Hiring me out with little discussion of the actual topic at hand. The highlights I got from the initial concept conversation were “Angel”, “Demon”, and “Actual Heart”… Erica had me at angel and demon but the heart was just a bonus.

The day of the shoot arrived and Mrs. Fisher and our lovely models arrived with an idea and a whim. So, as usual, Erica got to work in making Isis into our fiery demon while Ashley was our heavenly angel. All in all, I had a blast. This is set to be in at least one publication this coming month.

I met Heather a couple of months ago at a meet and greet at Graffiti Warehouse. Heather is by far one of the most creative and inspiring models I have ever worked with.
When my client, Tiffany Jeffers of SYLK Cosmetics called me and asked if I could get together some models to update her portfolio, I immediately contacted Heather.
Closer to the date, Heather asked me if it was okay to not wear her hair in this shoot. Currently, Heather is battling cancer for the second time. She’s been going through chemotherapy and has lost her hair for a third time. Her striking beauty and courage can’t help but draw attention.
I couldn’t wait to post this photo of her — this picture is unedited.

Wardrobe Stylist: Roxana Hire

Erica found me randomly through Facebook and I was delighted when she came to me with a concept I’ve never done before. She hired me out to photograph her body painting, however she didn’t want to do it to highlight the initial art. Instead, she wanted it to blend in with other clothing. Upon discussing with her further, we came up with an alternative style to do more steam-punk-esq attire. With the beautiful accessories by Lithia’s Creations and Roxana Hire as the wardrobe stylist, Erica painted up Ashley and Emily to the nines.

It was so much fun and I look forward to working with these ladies again in the future!

Stacey was at a Baltimore Fashion Alliance event I went to. Upon requesting me to review her portfolio, I gave her some feedback and from there she decided to commission my services. We have a monthly set-up with her now, and my team is happy to have her. This past time we did something more like an edgy biker girl/raver chick.
It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to work with her next month!

Soni is the first model I’ve worked with of Hindi decent and she came to me with a Bollywood themed concept. From there, I decided to run with it and tack on a Snow Queen idea. I had such an amazing team for this shoot and everyone had a blast.

Shoots like these are the reason why it’s great to have a strong professional team behind you. It makes the experience so much more for the client, and everyone walks away with something to be proud of.
