Hello People of Tumblr,
February is upon us. Isn’t it so amazing we’re already done a month of 2014? I feel like the Valentine’s Day Season comes with so many opportunities. I like to think of myself as a romantic realist. While I’d be lying if I said my sweetheart and I didn’t have plans on Valentine’s Day, I think it’s important to show love year round. I have a lot of clients this time of year doing more risque and provocative photoshoots. Personally, I think expression of love and sexuality is important in any human being - male or female. Valentine’s Day just seems to be the time when people are a little more open to it.
If you’re thinking of booking a Valentine’s Day shoot, you may wish to do it sooner than later at this point. After all, it’s only eleven days away now! Be mindful of your photographer’s time frame to deliver the photos and what kind of products you need to get produced. I always remind clients who tend to say “Oh! I should have done that” that there are always birthdays and anniversaries. One year, a client had just gotten out of a relationship and was experiencing Valentine’s Day on her own for the first time in years. It was a time for her to rediscover herself and her own self-love. So if you’re single during this Lovie Dovie hearts and cupid exploding everywhere time of year - remember that you should take the time to celebrate love for yourself. On the flip side, if you’re in a relationship I hope you and your love have something fun planned. Whether you’re cooking dinner together like Dan and I are or going out for a night on the town, don’t let Valentine’s Day pass without telling that special someone how much you care. Remember, they’re 364 other days of the year to express your love and devotion in special ways ;)
